What are the Laughlete's? We're
a group of young adults who write and perform our own original comedy sketches. A lot of hard work goes into our shows, and
we'd love to share the experience with you!
What is the show about? Every show that we do is completely
unique! Every month, the Laughlete's come up with new, fresh, and hilarious material to provide you with an hour of laughs!
I have a unique sense of humor. How do I know that I'll like this? Because we are a group of actors, we
all have our own idea of what is funny. Sure, there may be a few jokes you don't understand, but we work together to build
sketches that will humor everyone in the audience.
I'm still skeptical ... Can I experience a sample? Definitely!
Check out our Official YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheLaughletes! However - be aware that seeing the shows live is -always- more enjoyable, and not every
sketch we perform will be uploaded!
I'm not sure if I can go, because I have children ... Although
we have humor that appeals to any age group, we are proud to say that the Laughlete's are completely family friendly! Go ahead
and bring the little ones!
When are the Laughlete's performances? The Laughlete's perform every third
Saturday of the month. Shows are at 4pm, and last about an hour.
4pm? That sounds like an awkward time slot
... By having our shows at 4pm, we're opening your day and, hopefully, allowing for a more convenient time. 4pm is
late enough in the day that you can have all of your morning chores and errands taken care of, and being done by 5pm allows
you to be out in time for dinner or to go out on the town! We're conveniently located right next to the District of Rock Island,
too!
As awesome as this show sounds, I still don't think I can make it. =( Don't be sad! Well... you
can be sad. But even if you can't come to the show, we would definitely appreciate you helping us spread the word about our
group! Please send this event to any / every one in your friends list. And remember, word of mouth is just as good!
One more question ... Don't be scared! All questions are accepted! Ask away!
How do
you pronounce Laughlete? Great question! The most common pronunciation error is calling us the Laugh-lettes (rhyming
with get, bet, set, etc.). This is wrong. When saying our name, think athlete or mathlete. We aren't doing math, and
we aren't doing ath (uhh...) - instead, we're making you LAUGH! Thus, we are the Laughletes! Get it?
