'First Time's A Charm' As Center for Living Arts Presents "A Night of Parodies!"

The Center for Living Arts is very proud to announce

"A Night of Parodies"  August 20, 21, 27, 28 at 7pm

at the Center's studio theatre located at 2008 4th Avenue, Rock Island.

The evening consists of two one-act comedies:  "Star Tracks: The Exposition Menace", by David J. LeMaster and "Somewhere", by Adam J. Kuta.

Tickets are $5 for all seats. No reservations necessary.

The evening's entertainment marks a few firsts for the Center as Adam Kuta takes the helm with these shows for his first time at bat as director. One of the parodies, "Somewhere" is also written by Mr. Kuta; which is his first time writing a fully conceived one-act play.

"Adam has been a friend of the Center since the summer of 2008 and a big supporter of our students and theatre in general. He is a very talented actor and dedicated young man. We were looking for a show to be produced in August and Adam was looking for a chance to direct his own project. It was a perfect match!" said Dino Hayz, Creative Director of the Center. "Our very purpose for existing as an organization is to give people the confidence building and experience of producing theatre, whether that is onstage or behind the scenes. We're happy to share in this opportunity to create some 'magic' said Hayz.
