What is Reiki?
Reiki—a Japanese word meaning
sacred/spiritual energy. Reiki—a simple Japanese form of stress reduction. Reiki--a spiritual
practice to help you remember your 'true self'
Reiki—a system of meditation and gentle exercises
to increase energy and peace, similar to yoga and martial arts in philosophy
Reiki has long been regarded as a popular, alternative healing practice in the west. Through
continued research to its origins, it has been discovered that the practice of Reiki was originally developed to be a personal,
daily spiritual practice to increase one’s own energy and encourage peace in our lives. This increase
in energy can jumpstart healing in self and others. Recent studies have shown Reiki to be a natural, gentle
complement to the healing process of many dis-eases. Students will learn Reiki history,
meditation and breathing techniques, the practice of ‘palm healing’ and will receive the level one attunement
to aid themselves and others on their wellness paths. A certificate will be provided at the end of the
seminar. Continued training is available to those who seek it.
There are
three levels of Reiki practitioners.
Level One: Shoden Level Two: Okuden Level Three: Shinpiden These Japanese terms signify only that the practitioner has begun to work at that level,
not that they have mastered it.
Reiki Instruction is offered throughout the year and also at request.
